Overview
The Xiaolin Monks and Jack Spicer find a strange black dragon Shen Gong Wu in an active volcano. When the Xiaolin win it in a Xiaolin Showdown, they bring it back to the temple, not knowing what it is. When Kimiko removes a layer of soot, it is revealed that it is the Sapphire Dragon, a Shen Gong Wu that turns everything and everyone into sapphire statues which it can control. When it is accidentally activated, it starts taking the Xiaolin Warriors and elder monks out one by one, it's up to Dojo to save the day.
Synopsis
The episode begins at a volcano with the Xiaolin monks attempting to find the newly activated Shen Gong Wu. They find a black dragon statue, but they're not sure what kind of Wu it is, and the boys express annoyance with Kimiko, who forgot to bring the Ancient Scroll with her due to getting distracted by painting smiling panda faces on her fingernails. Jack Spicer soon arrives on his jet pack and claims it. Omi decides to parachute into the volcano, and his friends follow. Because of the rising hot air, Clay Bailey is the only one heavy enough to fall, allowing Jack to escape. Dojo Kanojo Cho attempts to aid them, but his effort is futile as he manages only to spurt out smoke and soot. Omi uses the Mantis Flip Coin to catch Jack and calls for a Xiaolin Showdown. They throw the black dragon statue into the volcano declaring that the first to find it, wins the contest. Jack takes an early advantage by using the Falcon's Eye, but after several lava spurts, Omi manages to catch the statue in his teeth.
Back at the Xiaolin Temple, Master Fung claims that he cannot recall a black dragon Shen Gong Wu. Kimiko Tohomiko attempts to discover what it can do. During her research, she discovers that the statue is covered in soot. The scene cuts away as she cleans it, and she screams. When the others arrive to investigate, they find that the Shen Gong Wu is missing, and that Kimiko has been turned into a sapphire statue. Master Fung seeks counsel with the elder monks while the others search the temple for clues. A giant blue dragon attacks Clay while he searches with Dojo. Dojo attempts to flee in terror but bumps into Omi and Raimundo Pedrosa.
Omi, Raimundo and Dojo check the Ancient Scroll of the Shen Gong Wu to discover that the intruder is the Sapphire Dragon. It indiscriminately turns everyone into a solid sapphire statue. According to the scroll, this particular Shen Gong Wu is only to be used as an absolute last resort. Omi, Raimundo and Dojo run to tell Master Fung, but discover that the dragon has gotten all the elder monks. Raimundo says he will distract the dragon, and tells Omi and Dojo to run for it. Raimundo is turned into a sapphire statue, and the dragon goes after Dojo and Omi. Omi tries to stop the dragon, despite Dojo's warnings that it is impossible. Using his water element, Omi causes a pile of wooden beams to fall on the dragon, and thinking that he won, he walks away triumphantly. The dragon manages to break free and turns Omi into sapphire. The dragon then animates his sapphire statues of Master Fung and the elder monks plus Omi and his friends while Dojo walks backwards to Clay. The sapphire statues of Clay, Raimundo, Kimiko and Omi surround Dojo but he screams when he asks if they remembered him then they grab him firmly. The sapphire statue of Clay grabs Dojo from the floor then the sapphire statues of Raimundo, Kimiko and Omi put their hands on Dojo. However Dojo slipped out of Omi's hand, Raimundo's hand, Kimiko's hand and Clay's hand as he holds on the beam then he escapes while being terrified. The sapphire statues of Clay, Raimundo, Omi and Kimiko are chasing after Dojo around the corner to hide behind a frying pan inside the kitchen while the statues of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay are walking by the kitchen. The pans fell to the ground alongside Dojo as he frees his tail then the four sapphire statues of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay heard a noise inside the kitchen. The sapphire statues of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay find Dojo but the latter escapes while he screams. Dojo screams as he enters outside while the sapphire statues of Clay, Raimundo, Omi and Kimiko continue to chase the former. The sapphire statue of Clay walks to the gong and bangs it as Dojo lands on the Sapphire Dragon. Dojo slides off the Sapphire Dragon as the sapphire statues of Kimiko and Raimundo try to grab him. Dojo tells the sapphire statue of Raimundo to stay away from him. However the sapphire statue of Omi grabs Dojo but the latter tries to breathe fire as he manages to breathe a puff of soot on the latter. Dojo is confused as the soot bothers the sapphire statue of Omi while the sapphire statues of Raimundo and Clay see from behind Dojo. However Dojo continues breathe soot at the sapphire statue of Omi which the former remembers that Dashi hid the Sapphire Dragon inside the volcano. The sapphire statues of Kimiko, Clay, Raimundo and Omi try to grab Dojo when the latter while dodging them as he says "So, if I could re-sootify, the Sapphire Dragon, then it might be going back to a harmless trouble again and that means normal un-sapphireify friends. Dojo breathes a puff at the sapphire statue of Omi again which bothers the latter. Dojo changes sizes to breathe soot but the Sapphire Dragon counters it with sapphire blue soot. Dojo shrinks back to his normal size. However Dojo realizes that he doesn't have soot as his fire power.
Dojo runs to Clay's room to open a crate of bottles of the super hot sauce while dressed as a cowboy inside the temple but he notices that the Sapphire Dragon and the sapphire statues of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Master Fung and the elder monks are nowhere to be found inside the temple. The Sapphire Dragon leads the sapphire statues of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Master Fung and the elder monks outside of the temple to leave. Dojo whistles as the Sapphire Dragon and the sapphire statues of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Master Fung and the elder monks stop walking. The Sapphire Dragon and the sapphire statues of Raimundo, Kimiko, Master Fung and two elder monks turn their heads. Dojo spits out his saliva as he puts a toothpick at the front of his snout when he says "I calling out". The sapphire statues of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Master Fung and the elder monks walk to the side as the Sapphire Dragon walks up to Dojo. The Sapphire Dragon breathes sapphire blue soot before the battle. The sapphire statues of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Master Fung and the elder monks see the Sapphire Dragon then the sapphire statues turn their heads to the right. Dojo drinks hot sauce in front of the Sapphire Dragon. As the dragon gets close to turning Dojo into sapphire, Dojo unleashes humongous amounts of fire and soot onto the Sapphire Dragon, turning it back into an inanimate statue, and freeing Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Master Fung and the elder monks after they have been affected by the Sapphire Dragon. Raimundo asks "where am I", Kimiko asks "what happened" and Omi asks "who am i". Kimiko picks up the Sapphire Dragon. Omi says I believe we owe our salvation to Dojo" and Clay says "I always knew he had a fire brewin' in him." Dojo says "about 16 ounces to be exact" while he twirls it to Master Fung's finger. Raimundo locks away the dragon inside the vault. Omi says "the sapphire dragon will trouble us no more". Dojo tells Raimundo "let me start you out" "okay, I hate to admit it but". An annoyed Raimundo finishes Dojo's sentence "Uh, I hate to admit it but Dojo saved totally saved the day!" as he, Omi, Kimiko, and Clay are walking upstairs. Kimiko says "more than that, you saved the world!" and Omi adds "all by yourself". Dojo says "it's true" and asks if he could be a chosen one". Omi asks and Dojo "you?" "A dragon?" Raimundo says and points "aren't you already one?" Dojo says "no, a dragon warrior, like you guys" then he says "maybe I'm the dragon of fire" but Kimiko says "sorry, position's filled". Dojo says "okay, okay, all right" and asks "what about soot, huh, think about it?" "Soot". Raimundo walks up the stairs to be in front of Clay because Raimundo isn't impressed with the choice that Dojo picked. Dojo says "yeah, this is coming from the wind guy?" "Come on, soot". "No, that's it". The episode ends with Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay walking up the stairs while ignoring Dojo's choice of becoming a dragon warrior.

Find the Wu
After much squabbling back and forth with the Sapphire Dragon, both Omi and Jack touch it at the same time, starting a Xiaolin Showdown. Omi wagers his Mantis Flip Coin against Jack's Falcon's Eye, with the game being the first one to find the Sapphire Dragon inside the volcano.
When the showdown starts, the Sapphire Dragon falls into the volcano, with pillars of hardened magma shooting up at various times. The Sapphire Dragon comes out of the magma on one of these pillars, but falls back into the magma before either one of them can grab it. Jack uses the Falcon's Eye to see through the Magma and find the Sapphire Dragon. However, Omi knocks him out of the way before he can grab it. Jack decides to cheat, using his new invention, his evil Glob Shooter. This encases Omi in a sticky substance that he can't escape from. Jack finds the Sapphire Dragon again, but Omi is able to get his head out of the glob and grab the Sapphire Dragon with his mouth, winning the showdown for him.
